8. What’s Rocking the Cradle? Navigating Challenges to Breastfeeding Support

A variety of barriers and challenges can hinder progress to implementation of evidence-based guidelines and best practices in breastfeeding support. Using the think tank approach, attendees will share challenges encountered in implementing breastfeeding support strategies and explore approaches to overcome these challenges. Attendees will engage in small groups to examine this issue from the perspective of implementation in hospitals, community organizations, and/or worksite settings.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify commonly encountered challenges and barriers to implementation of breastfeeding support activities in hospitals, community organizations, and/or worksite settings.
- Identify approaches to overcome these challenges.
