Networking Meetups and Technical Assistance Appointments

On Monday, May 6, 3:45-5:00PM, everyone will have four choices for the Innovate and Collaborate Meetups. Please select the option that you intend to join. Options include: Rural communities; Large cities; Breastfeeding and Early Care and Education synergy; and Navigating the food supply chain. While you are not required to attend the meetup you select, your selection will help us estimate attendance.

Additionally, the DNPAO Community Design for Physical Activity workgroup encourages pre-registration for their Complementary Federal and State Funding Streams Technical Assistance session on Wednesday morning, May 8. Options include: 8:30 – 10:00AM and 10:15 – 11:15AM. Read the descriptions closely as the content in each session will be different.

Spokesperson Training

How To Be an Effective Spokesperson: Tips, Techniques & Practice Interviews

The DNPAO Strategic Communication Team is offering a 30-minute interactive spokesperson training that will help you and your team better communicate about your SPAN, HOP, or REACH activities. You will learn how to craft an “elevator speech” with a compelling message and practice delivering it in a way that resonates with your chosen audience. You can also bring prepared key messages and we will conduct mock media interviews in lieu of the elevator speech. The training is by appointment only. Only one person per team is permitted to sign-up for the spokesperson training opportunity, but all team members may attend the scheduled time.

30-minute timeslots are available on:

  • Sunday, May 5 from 3:00 – 6:00PM
  • Monday, May 6 from 12:00 – 1:30PM and 3:30 – 5:00PM
  • Tuesday, May 7 from 12:00 – 2:30PM
  • Wednesday, May 8 from 8:30 – 11:00AM
