Inequities and disparities are deeply rooted in every aspect of society, including where we live, learn, work, and play and in the food we eat. How do we achieve a state in which all people have the same opportunities to reach their full nutrition and health potential? This facilitated discussion will unlock a spectrum of strategies for building food and community health equity using a systems lens.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand how social environment is constructed.
  2. Understand how modern agricultural societies have created structurally inequitable societies.
  3. Have participated in exercises to imagine and create pathways toward more equitable and healthful societies.
